Every year the damned lilacs make a liar out of me.
I always say that I hate cut flowers. Apparently what I really mean is that I hate paying for cut flowers. Especially ones that don't smell like anything.
These lilacs smell pretty and grow (for free!) right outside my house. Sold.
I totally have to agree with you there, Sid. There's nothing like fresh lilacs. I used to live on a street that was lined with lilac trees, and I used to go out for a walk every evening just to take in the scent!
