While I have come to appreciate her writing, with it's highly-readable pacing, melodic phrasing, wonderfully-developed characters and compelling plots, can someone please suggest a way to get Sandra Boyton's "Moo, Ba, La La La" out of my head?

Cows say "Moo"
Sheep say "Baa"
Three Singing Pigs say "La La La!"

No, No! you say
That isn't right!
Pigs say "Oink" all day and night

Sigh.

  1. Don't buy The Barnyard Dance then. I still have that one in my head 6 years later!

  2. Big A, little a. What begins with A? Aunt Annie's alligator! A-A-A!
One day when I am on the Alzheimers ward at the Civic, I am sure my toothless babbling will be that.
Or...In the great green room, there was a telephone, and a big balloon, and a picture of... I need help.

  3. Oh god, it's too late! We already own Barnyard Dance AND I recognize Dr. Seuss's ABCs!!!

One good thing the hubby and I agreed on was that we'd quickly toss/donate any book we hated before the kid got obsessed with them. So far Runaway Bunny and the old Dick-and-Jane books have been sent packing.
